Our Story
Nele was born in 2011 by a group of passionate special educators to make learning comprehensive and accessible for special needs children. With the help of a dedicated team of specialists and educators, it has become one of the fastest-growing child development centers in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore.
At Nele, we believe every child has a distinct personality and the potential to soar high. However, the child does not realize his/ her talent/potential due to various environmental circumstances and hindrances at school/ home.
Our Mission
Nele is a Kannada word that means a place of refuge. Staying true to its name, we strive to provide a healthy environment that helps each child realize his/ her potential. With a team of trained and specialized teachers and specialists, we ensure that each child gets the required support, skills, and assistance to continue their learning journey.
Our mission is to create an inclusive atmosphere where children can hone their potential by working on their unique skills. We aim to achieve this by partnering with all the significant people in a child’s life.
At Nele, we have conducted multiple training sessions for kids, teachers, and parents in private and special schools, to build toward inclusive education. We have managed to help more than 200 kids since the time we opened, making us one of the sought-after special education institutes in Bengaluru.

Suma PN
Academic Coach
Suma PN graduated as an engineer from UBDT College of Engineering. She worked in the IT industry in India and US. Her passion for teaching made her quit corporate world to become a full-time teacher. She has 3 years of teaching experience with CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and NIOS board students. She loves Carnatic music and usually reads in her free time.
Roopa Shyam
Senior Special Educator
Roopa Shyam is an M.com graduate from Mysore university. Her keen interest in the field of education led her to do a diploma in learning disability from IRC. She has more than 10 years of experience in the field of special education. Her expertise is in teaching children with learning disability, slow learners, and hearing-impaired children.
Swarana Sanjay
Special Educator
Swarna Sanjay has graduated in psychology, sociology, and criminology. She has 2 years of experience in the field of special education. She is dedicated and passionate about her work.
Vibha Kothari
Speech Therapist
Vibha Kothari is a certified speech language pathologist with over 20 years of rich experience in helping children with speech, language and communication skills. As speech therapist she has worked in various cities across India and abroad. Currently she is a consultant speech therapist at Nele.
Jyothi Venkat
Accountant
Jyothi Venkat has done degree in Information Technology from Memphis after completing BSc from Hubli. Later she completed diploma in Personal Counseling from Banjara Academy and Life Skill Training from Prerana Academy. She helps Nele with finance and accounts.
Nirmala
Special Educator
Nirmala is a B.com graduate from NMKRV with experience in working in corporates like Max Insurance and many other organizations. She switched from corporate job and has worked with various Montessori schools. She is with Nele as a special educator.
Nagashree
Special Educator
Nagashree is a gold medalist in M.Com. Post M.com she did PG diploma in Autism. She has rich experience of more than 8 years working as a special educator. She has worked with children with various kinds of special with expertise in autism. She is with Nele as a special educator and NIOS coach for commerce stream.
Greeshma M Mayya
Special Educator
Greeshma Mayya did diploma in special education post bachelor degree. She has more than 22 years’ experience in teaching special needs children. She has worked with various special needs schools in Mangalore and Bangalore. She has been honored with award of Extraordinary teacher by IRC Bangalore. She is with Nele as special educator.
Anita Mahesh
Academic Coordinator
Anita mahesh has been a passionate educator for nearly 3 decades in various capacities. She been instrumental in setting up special children’s educational centers/ classes/ curriculum at multiple organizations. Always a teacher at heart, she has motivated children , parents and other teachers to build inclusive school communities. Over the years she has developed unique understanding of learning styles and has been a mentor to other teachers in this field.
Kumudwathi
Speech Therapist
Kumudwathi has done Masters in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from JSS medical college, Mysore. Her special interest are in the field of HI, ASD, MR, LD, and aphasic population. She has actively participated in hearing camps and developmental screenings at various special schools. She has also conducted programs in rural rehabilitation. She is associated as speech language pathologist and audiologist with Nele.
